1. Tell us in brief about your company and the leadership.

 

The primary mission of TRIARE is to transform the ideas of our customers into highly effective working solutions. We focus on helping startups and mid-sized companies using our experience and unique approaches. TRIARE’s team consists of 48 people and a portfolio including a diverse tech stack, namely PHP, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Android, iOS, and React.js.

 

When we started our operations 6 years ago, we were focusing on delivering quality code. Since then, we have realized the value of our unique project-based approach. Specifically, we assess the needs of each business and offer the most optimal technical solution using the most relevant mobile and web technology. Thus, we build Mobile and Web Apps for companies in various industries while offering a range of Services for Startups, such as rapid MVP.

 

2. What is your company’s culture? What does TRIARE stand for?

 

TRIARE seeks continuous sustainable growth that would allow delivering value to our customers, our employees, and other parties involved. Our core values are responsibility, reliability, and relationships. Hence, 3 Rs or TRIARE. The responsibility aspect reflects our ability to meet and exceed customer expectations while offering the best solutions possible. Being reliable means committing to details and maintaining a structured working process that ensures timely delivery. Building relationships through communication and trust facilitates growth and cooperation between customers and TRIARE, and internally too.

 

Our vision focuses on development and improvement through problem solving and transformation. The mission of TRIARE is to understand our customers and support sustainable growth through the delivery of exceptional products and services. In considering the business needs of our clients, we also seek efficiency enabling cost savings and value delivery.

 

3. How do you approach a client and understand their perception of the app development process for the first time?

 

We have developed a well-thought process that involves six steps. The first one is discovery when TRIARE collects vital information about the business processes of the customer yielding business case description, user definition, flow diagrams, and architecture documentation. The second step is planning involving the preparation of the SOW documentation, work breakdown structure, wireframes, as well as time and budget estimates. Third, we design and create a vivid concept and UX based on the analysis of business requirements, prominent patterns, in addition to Android and iOS style guides.

 

The fourth step involves development using Scrum methodology and facilitating a focused and collaborative team environment. The fifth step is the launch of a product including rigorous quality assurance testing aimed at preventing bugs. The sixth step is the support that assists our customers in the long term with the implementation and maintenance of the developed solutions. These steps formulate a single strategy that minimizes risks related to errors or miscommunication.

4. What engagement models do you offer? How should a client choose?

Flexibility in our work is essential for meeting the specific needs of each customer, which is why we designed several working models. These are a Fixed Price model, a Dedicated Team model as well as a Time and Material model. The choice of a customer in terms of the working model depends on several factors. The main factors are the scale of their project and the available time frame. Given these characteristics, each customer is able to select the most efficient alternative that would suit their needs. TRIARE is always ready to assist with the selection process and recommend the best fit suited for each particular case or project.

 

5. What do you think are the key factors to look into the product before delivering? How do you manage or deliver the project on time?

 

Each product is unique in terms of specific requirements, which demands best-fit solutions. One of the key factors is product security since it is a part of our reliability value. In this regard, the security requirements also differ on a product basis, as financial services or banking applications may require more levels of security in comparison to registration on a website.

 

TRIARE possesses the expertise and a systematic approach for all development stages which allows us to minimize or avoid delays. Furthermore, the company is strictly adhering to the current industry standard ISO / IEC 27002, which ensures product safety for our customers and the end-users. The GDPR practice introduced by the EU provides clear guidance on user data and supports product security.

 

6. Any particular technology or industry you would be targeting? How do you plan to prepare your workforce for the upcoming technology upgrade?

 

We conducted research showing that the entertainment industry will continue expanding and providing new opportunities. Similarly, niche social networks will be gaining their market share, as well as streaming services and diversified monetization. TRIARE continues growing and expanding its knowledge base through internal and external learning opportunities. It is clear that without remaining up-to-date with the market demand and core tendencies within the main industries, it is very easy to lose track of the customer needs. Thus, we keep track of any shifts within our core markets and remain flexible to offer superior solutions. Such an approach allows us to remain prepared for the upcoming technology upgrades and any other innovative practices.

 

7. You are the CEO of TRIARE for more than 6 years now, can you please share some interesting stories, experiences, and projects that you are proud of?

 

The biggest value of our company is its people that grew into a strong and supportive community and a team that works together even before the official launch of TRIARE. We worked on a large number of interesting projects together. Our common values became the values of TRIARE, as they continue supporting the sustainable growth of our company.

 

The interesting stories relate primarily to our successful projects. But I remember one project when we missed a deadline because of incorrect estimates and became really worried. While we lost money on that project, we still completed and delivered it, as we value our reputation over immediate financial gains. This error allowed us to review internal processes, strengthen our management, and even close a position at TRIARE. I was really proud that we managed to turn our shortcomings into a strength that benefited us and our customers in the future.

8. Other than technical expertise, what traits do you believe are essential for any e-commerce development company to succeed in this rapidly evolving industry?

We acknowledge that the common issue in the development industry is an absence of soft skills, which is a common theme at many HR conferences. Understanding this problem and addressing it is already part of the solution. We work hard on minimizing the negative effects of cultural differences when communicating with our customers and embrace these differences in the workplace. Communication can make or break any project, which reflects its importance in terms of consistency.

 

It is necessary to support an ongoing dialogue that involves feedback sessions, questions, and clarifications. At the same time, it is crucial to make this process smooth and prevent its transformation into a distraction factor for the client. Similarly, we work on lowering any language barriers in communication to ensure reliability. Eventually, it is important to have an open mind and positive outlook, which helps with remaining responsive to the customer’s needs.
