An Interview with Aliaksandr Kot, Chief Commercial Officer at Exposit

Tell us in brief about your company and the leadership.

Exposit is an IT solutions company delivering custom web and mobile software. It was founded in 2012 by Vasili Yavorchuck and started its work with a team of 5 IT experts with a strong technical background. Today Exposit numbers more than 100 employees passionate about creating custom software including tech leaders with more than 21 years of IT expertise. Half of the initial team, including Founder & CEO Vasili Yavorchuk, is still working with Exposit developing, the company and enhancing our expertise.

What is your company’s culture? What does Exposit stand up for?

The main pillars of our work are people, expertise and mobility. Our culture is based on making continuous investment in our employees’ knowledge and professional growth to keep the high quality of services and create innovative solutions for businesses.

How do you approach a client and understand their perception of the app development process for the first time?

Our approach is based on two essential parts of any software product – business and technology. We invite our clients to discuss their software ideas and needs with both Business Development Managers and tech experts in the related field from the first meeting. Our customer-centric approach helps us to deliver value throughout the development process providing you with scalable high-quality software ready to modern challenges and optimized resources for sustainable business development.

What engagement models do you offer? How should a client choose?

We provide custom cooperation options to achieve the best results for your business: you can choose the Project Development or Development Team cooperation model depending on your project requirements and goals. Working using any cooperation model and methodology we gather the right team for your project providing high development speed and quality services.

What do you think are the key factors to look into the product before delivering? How do you manage or deliver the project on time?

I believe that understanding a specific business and its needs attaches great importance to creating a marketable software product. Today businesses and individuals have a lot of options to choose from, so market research before the development process is essential. Considering business risks, learning about competitors and their challenges, understanding the entire problem you are trying to solve are the keys to successful release. At Exposit, we have talented Delivery Managers who ensure timely delivery thanks to regular quality communication and agile philosophy.

Any particular technology or industry you would be targeting? How do you plan to prepare your workforce for the upcoming technology upgrade?

As an experienced IT provider, we are focusing on tech trends that can be implemented in cross-industry business processes and can be well adjusted to changing business conditions and needs. Currently, we are targeting Media Streaming, Computer Vision, Gamification & Visualization, and ITSM, making innovation a part of Healthcare, Retail, or any other specific daily workflow. We believe that smart trend watching makes great sense in times of unexpected challenges and rapid changes, so our R&D department always tracks technology trends and identifies effective solutions that can help our customers stand out.

You are the CCO of Exposit for several years now, can you please share some interesting stories, experiences, and projects that you are proud of?

I started my professional journey at Exposit as a Software Engineer: it was full of unique experiences and interesting challenges. In 2017 I had a business trip to Saudi Arabia to join the client’s in-house engineering team. It was a special experience of shifting cultural and business context and learning valuable insights in software development and IT management. We have been on-side for around 9 months working from Sunday to Thursday and have created a great software product designed to improve internal communication.

Other than technical expertise, what traits you believe are essential for any healthcare development company to succeed in this rapidly evolving industry?

First of all, we should always keep an eye on the industry changes, whether it is Healthcare or any other domain. I would also say that a healthcare development company should be on the same page with its stakeholders, have a fast reaction to clients’ feedback, and clearly understand the social value of a software product in the Healthcare industry.

How do you estimate the role of research agencies like in bridging the gap between clients and service providers?

I think you are doing a great job contributing to the exchange of views between business people and IT providers.
